About Us

As a verb, the word “minister” means “to attend to the needs of”. This is exactly the mission of Hope and Help Today Ministries. We give you hope in the important life events you are marking with ceremony and we help to create the perfect, most memorable ceremony for that life event.

As legally ordained ministers (recognized in all 50 States, Puerto Rico and The U.S. Virgin Islands) we will tailor your ceremony to respect and reflect your beliefs, traditions, spiritual needs, etc.; or we can create a ceremony that is spiritual but not religious at all.

We have backgrounds in creating and conducting ceremonies in numerous traditions such as Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, Native American, Wiccan, Interfaith, and Non-Denominational.

We perform ceremonies in English, Français, Deutsch and Español.

Our Process

We work with you to create the perfect ceremony

  • Free Consultation

    In person or remotely

We meet with you to talk about exactly what you think you're looking for in a ceremony. This includes traditions/rituals, personalization, themes, expectations, venue, etc.

  • Ceremony Script Editing

    Until you say it's perfect

We begin working on the ceremony script for your big day. You can be as involved or uninvolved in this process as you'd like. Normally this process happens via email but sometimes another virtual meeting is called for.

  • Rehearsal / Walkthrough

    If you think it's needed

There is no obligation to have a wedding rehearsal. However, it is generally advised to have one, especially for big weddings with lots of participants or more formal affairs. A rehearsal sets expectations, helps to finalize the finer details, and makes sure that everyone know what to do, and when.

  • Arrival on ceremony Day

    At least 30 minutes prior

We arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. We coordinate with the couple and other wedding vendors to ensure that the ceremony runs smoothly. This includes coordinating the timing of the processional, cueing the music, and providing any necessary instructions to the wedding party and guests. Our presence and guidance help create a seamless and memorable ceremony experience for everyone involved.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are legally recognized to marry couples in ALL 50 States and in Puerto Rico.

We perform ceremonies in English, Français, Deutsch and Español.

Our wedding services range in price from $125 to $425 (see "Personalized Wedding Ceremonies" above  for up-to-date pricing). However, we believe everyone should enjoy their special day regardless of financial issues, so we will gladly work with any couple to find a solution that fits their budget. We have married couples free-of-charge if that's what we needed to do!

We perform inter-faith ceremonies and will tailor your ceremony to respect and reflect your beliefs, traditions, spiritual needs, etc. We have backgrounds in creating and conducting ceremonies in numerous traditions such as Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, Native American, Wiccan, Interfaith, and Non-Denominational.

We sincerely wish no one had to ask this question in today's day and age. Unfortunately however, it is an all-too-frequently posed question. The answer is: YES! We stand with LGBTQIA2S+ couples against religion-based discrimination!

Whatever YOU tell us to! Whether it's full clerical attire, casual dress, suit and tie, shorts and a t-shirt for a beach wedding, etc. YOU choose our attire.

Yes, Bishop Peter can and will perform the Catholic Rite of Marriage. The ceremony may even include the Liturgy of the Eucharist and everyone (including non-Catholics) may receive Communion so that no one leaves feeling excluded from this special celebration! Your marriage will be 100% legally recognized. Your local priest and the Catholic Church itself may balk at this, but it is the case nonetheless.

Please note that unlike most wedding officiants, we DO NOT have a section on our website of photos of weddings we have officiated. It is our philosophy that a wedding ceremony is one of the most special events in the lives of a couple and we do not believe that wedding photos should be used for marketing purposes of wedding officiants.

If a couple we have married choose to post their pictures here that's perfectly fine. But we feel it is their choice and not ours!

We are Legally Ordained Ministers. We each possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity, and Bishop Peter and Pastor Levi additionally hold a Master’s Degree in Divinity and a Doctorate in Divinity (D.D). Bishop Peter has officially been named a Bishop and is authorized to ordain new ministers. Although he left the Catholic Church over its deplorable views on homosexuality and the role of women in the church he is still recognized as a Bishop "ex opere operato" by His Holiness Pope Francis according to the Union of Utrecht.

We are legally recognized to perform ceremonies in all 50 States and in Puerto Rico.

We do not charge for travel within 20 miles of Providence, RI or Johnstown, PA. We charge reasonable travel fees outside that 20 mile radius. Please refer to our website for current travel fees beyond the 20 mile limit.

We perform weddings, funerals & memorials, living wakes, home vigils, mourning ceremonies for pregnancy loss, ceremonies for extra-ordinary life events (including trans naming ceremonies), and ceremonies for your beloved pet family members (including naming ceremonies, pet euthanasia, pet funerals, and ceremonies for animal healthcare professionals and rescue workers).

For an additional fee, we will attend a rehearsal dinner. This service does not include organizing or leading a rehearsal ceremony. We attend in a limited capacity to review the wedding ceremony order and any ceremony components.
